StatoilHydro Platform Shut Down

StatoilHydro says production on the Statfjord A platform will probably be shut down for several days due to needed repairs and upgrading following Saurday's oil leak.


Both StatoilHydro and the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) will now carry out investigations into the cause of the leak.
- So far we have no indications that poor maintenance is the cause of the leak at Statfjord A, says NPD CEO Magne Ognedal.
