Gazprom intends to acquire a 20-percent stake in its oil arm Gazprom Neft from Italy's ENI for $4bn, Gazprom's Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee Andrei Kruglov said today.
He pointed out that the Russian energy holding held an option for the stake and that it planned to exercise the option before it expired in April 2009.
