Georgia has stopped importing electricity from Russia

No Russian Elecricity in Georgia

Anya Bregvadze, head of the public relations department of the Georgian Electric System Commercial Operator announced to the press that Georgia refuses to import electricity from Russia through the Salkhin high-tension power line 220, which runs through Abkhazia.

According to the information Russian paper Kommersant gives, Bregvadze also added that the crossflow between Georgia and Azerbaijan has also been stopped and electricity supplies from Turkey have been resumed. Georgia has stated repeatedly that it does not need electricity imports from Russia.
