Russian news agencies say an explosion has hit a car in St. Petersburg and killed three people.
The cause of the blast Tuesday was not immediately clear. State-run RIA-Novosti cited city emergency officials as saying that two people died at the scene of the explosion, including a small child, and an injured victim died shortly afterward. It said one other person was seriously injured.
