Inter RAO UES To Start Power Exports to China

Russian power supplies to China will begin in the near future, the Russian company's press secretary Boris Zverev told RBC. He has not revealed the terms of the contract or the supply amounts, however.

As reported earlier, cross-border power sales between Russia and China were stopped after the parties failed to agree on a price. China sought to buy power from Russia at prices lower than the tariff set by the Russian Federal Tariff Service for the Far East, whereas the price offered by Russia was not acceptable for China.
