The general plan also defines parameters for natural gas production, transportation, and storage, as well as for the processing of gas and gas condensate.
Furthermore, it stipulates the required capital investments in the reconstruction and development of production facilities. The ministry has outlined the main problems hindering the industry's development and assessed investment risks.
The plan also estimates gas consumption, which is expected to depend on the price changes for fuel and energy resources, an expansion of gas trade on mercantile exchanges, and a decrease in the share of gas sales at regulated prices.
