In the first two months of the year, 103.233 billion cubic meters of gas and 4.034 million tons of oil was produced on the Yamal peninsula, Vlush.ru reports. Compared to the previous year, gas production increased 15 percent and crude production fell 90 percent. Condensate production rose 20 percent. Thirty enterprises are working 84 fields in the region today. Of this number, 15 companies are producing oil on 53 fields.
As before, the main oil producing enterprises in the region are Gazprom neft and Rosneft. From January-February, these Gazprom neft produced 2.559 millions tons or 63.5 percent of the total oil produced in the region. Rosneft produced 1.113 million tons of oil or 27.6 percent of the total. Other oil companies accounted for 8.9 percent, producing 361,529 tons.
