Construction has begun at the dry dock in Vostochny port (Primore) for a new marine drilling platform to be used in the Arkutun-Dagi field, RIA Vostok-media reports. The platform is being ordered by an international consortium for the Sakhalin-1 project.
There are no platforms like this one in the Far East. The work is being carried out by Vostco Yard, which builds rigs, platforms and other over-sized marine infrastructure for large foreign companies involved in international oil projects.
