Russian President Dmitry Medvedev promised on Thursday to pay special attention to the innovative high-tech research hub in Skolkovo, dubbed Russia's answer to Silicon Valley.
Skolkovo's future administration head, Viktor Vekselberg, told the president that foreign investors and scientists had already shown interest in the project due to the feeling that both the president and the government would focus on it.
"I think our foreign colleagues assume from the experience they have that nothing in Russia escapes the attention of the leader of the country," Medvedev replied to Vekselberg's statement.
Medvedev earlier instructed the government to work out a special investment-conducive regime for Skolkovo.
The new Skolkovo center's activities will focus on five priority spheres: energy, information technologies, communication, biomedical research and nuclear technologies.
