Tariffs for gas will rise 15 percent in Russia in 2011, while thermal heating tariffs will rise 12 to 14 percent, Deputy Economy Development Minister Andrey Klepach said on May 31. According to RBK, Klepach said Russia will adhere to the the schedule for raising gas prices 15 over the year. "We will draw closer to equal prices for both internal and external markets", Klepach said. The deputy minister said the current price of gas is only 45 percent of net back.
In 2013, the price will approach 80 percent if world hydrocarbons prices grow in line with inflation and the rouble is stable. Klepach said energy prices would grow more than 13 to 15 percent next year, though he said prices would grow more slowly after that. He said the cost of heating would grow about 12 to 14 percent in 2011.
