Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has voiced Tehran's readiness for boosting energy cooperation with Moscow, underlining the presence of Russian companies in various energy sectors in Iran, reported iranian Shana on November 15, 2016.

Speaking in a meeting with Russia's Federation Council Chairperson Valentina Matvienko in Tehran on Monday, Rouhani said enhanced parliamentary relations between the two countries will strengthen the Tehran-Moscow relations even further.

«Iran-Russia relations are at their best in recent decades and the post-JCPOA era must be exploited for boosting economic, cultural, scientific and technological relations between the two countries» the Iranian President said.

Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani noted that the Iranian side is interested in developing cooperation with the Russian Federation to the field of peaceful nuclear energy, in particular, the continuation of the construction of new nuclear power reactors at Busher, as well as creating a group on scientific and technical progress for the joint development of ways to modernize the economies of two countries.

Iranian President has supported the idea of a gradual transition to a visa-free regime with Russia, said the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
