Ashgabad, June 7 - Neftegaz.RU. The most important aspects of the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation were discussed in a telephone conversation between the Presidents of Turkey Recep Erdogan and Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
«Turkmenistan, rich in hydrocarbon deposits, is ready to put them at the service of universal progress and sustainable development,» Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov said.
The President also stressed that Turkmenistan, which has more than enough gas to meet all its obligations on the existing routes and planned ones, is a supporter of the fair distribution of energy resources on the basis of the balance of interests of the supplier country, the transit country and the end consumer.
Expressing support for Turkmenistan's gas diplomacy on the world stage, Erdogan invited Berdimuhamedov to the opening of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP), which will be held in June.
The TANAP pipeline is part of the Southern gas corridor project, which involves the transportation of blue fuel from the Caspian region to the EU countries. At the 1st stage, it is planned to transport Azerbaijani gas, in the future – blue fuel from other countries, including Turkmenistan.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to the Turkish counterpart for the invitation. This issue will be dealt with in an appropriate manner, through diplomatic channels.
