Sochi, February 14 - Neftegaz.RU. President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov signed a Cooperation Agreement at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi today with the Heads of Kalmykia, Komi and the Governor of Tver Region.
Vagit Alekperov and the Governor of Tver Region, Igor Roudenya, signed a Cooperation Agreement for 5 years. LUKOIL will contribute to the development and efficient operation of the region's fuel-and-energy complex, road infrastructure, social peace and the environmental situation. The company will also supply petroleum and petrochemical products to wholesale and retail customers.
In its turn, the Government of Tver Region confirmed its readiness to assist with reconstruction of the existing industrial facilities for transportation, storage and sale of petroleum and petrochemical products, and also with the development of a network of LUKOIL fuel stations.
As a supplier of petroleum products to Tver Region, LUKOIL has nine gas stations there. The population of the region is 1 million 283 thousand people. The regional motor fleet is 350 thousand vehicles. In 2018, LUKOIL sold 64.8 thousand metric tons of petroleum products in the region. The daily average of petroleum products sold at its retail stations in Tver region is 18.4 metric tons.
Vagit Alekperov and the Head of the Komi Republic, Sergey Gaplikov, signed a Protocol to the Agreement on Cooperation between the company and the region. The document, extending the partnership between the company and the republic, defines a set of measures to develop the region's mineral resource potential, the fuel-and-energy complex and the public infrastructure.
Apart from constructing and revamping field operational and infrastructure facilities, LUKOIL will provide financial support to help build more housing blocks, health and sports centers, construct, reconstruct and re-equip more kindergartens, community centers and healthcare facilities, and also bring to life new charitable projects and initiatives.
Vagit Alekperov and the Head of Kalmykia, Alexey Orlov, signed a Protocol to the Cooperation Agreement between the company and the region for 2019.
The protocol envisages reconstruction and re-equipment of the state-owned concert and cinema hall in the city of Elista, renovation of several public facilities in rural areas of the region and involvement of the company in various regional events. LUKOIL will also hold a contest of its Social and Cultural Projects.
As part of the agreement, in force since 2014, LUKOIL has provided financial support for the reconstruction and re-equipment of multiple healthcare and educational institutions, public and cultural facilities, and for the renovation of children's play- and sportsgrounds.
