Gazprom Neft expands partnership with Buryatia to supply high-tech bitumen and lubricants

Gazprom Neft expands partnership with Buryatia to supply high-tech bitumen and lubricants

Moscow, November 12 - Neftegaz.RU. Alexander Dyukov, Gazprom Neft CEO, and Alexey Tsydenov, Head of the Republic Buryatia, signed a cooperation agreement to provide the region with modern bitumen materials and promote import substitution of motor oils and technical fluids.

The agreement provides direct deliveries of high-tech bitumen and bitumen-derived products of Gazprom Neft for the construction and maintenance of road transport infrastructure and utilities in Buryatia. To increase the service life of road surfaces, the company's research center will offer bitumen and asphalt mix formulations adapted to the climate and transport characteristics of the region. The introduction of innovative materials will be carried out on pilot road sections with subsequent monitoring of the condition of the pavement.

Another area of partnership is the implementation of a joint replacement program for imported lubricants and technical fluids. Within the framework of cooperation, Gazprom Neft will expand the supply of oils under its own brands Gazpromneft and G-Energy, intended for servicing vehicles, machinery for various purposes and industrial equipment.

According to expert estimates, the annual demand of urban and municipal enterprises of the Republic Buryatia is 3.7 thousand tons, more than 60% of which is still accounted for by foreign-made products. The economic effect for the regional budget will be up to 65 million rubles a year with the full replacement of imports with Gazprom Neft oils and technical fluids.

"We started using high-tech polymer-bitumen binders produced by Gazprom Neft. We will expand the use of such innovative products, which will increase the service life of new roads. In addition, a joint venture of Gazprom Neft and Rosneft started providing fuel refueling services at Ulan-Ude airport, which reduced the cost of fuel by 20%," Alexey Tsydenov noted.

"The signing of the new agreement will allow us to work more actively with the Republic in the framework of a joint program for import substitution of lubricants and technical fluids, which brings a noticeable economic effect for the regional budget", said Alexander Dyukov.
