Bangladesh: Bangladesh may have untapped natural gas reserves of trillions of cubic feet (metres), a survey report said on Thursday.
The actual untapped but technically recoverable gas reserves could be as high as 65 trillion cubic feet (nearly 2 trillion cubic metres) or as low as 8.4 trillion cubic feet (240 billion cubic metres), said the report. It was jointly prepared by Petrobangla, the state-run gas corporation, and the US Geological Survey.
The report forecasts production for the next 30 years.
