Playing Both Sides

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said Turkey will continue oil exploration studies in the north Black Sea, adding, "We hope to give you good news in December."

Guler said that the Operation Group, including the Turkish Pipeline Transportation Corp (Botas) and BP, will finish the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline project in time.

Guler also stated that under an agreement signed with Greece, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) natural gas pipeline project would be completed simultaneously with the BTC and natural gas would be carried to Europe.
