100% of Energy Producer to be Sold
Government believes the time is right for sale...
The Slovak government has decided to allow all shares of energy producer Paroplynovy Cyklus (PPC) to be sold.
Currently, the government holds 90% of PPC?s shares while the remaining 10% are owned by dominant power producer Slovenske Elektrarne (SE). SE plans to sell its shares after signing a separate contract with the future investor.
Analysts believe the main reason behind the decision on privatisation is to get the best possible price for the shares, which appear to be at a high.
The nine submitted offers for the company will be discussed jointly with SE and a final decision will be made by the end of March.
