Surviving Units to Remain Off-line

The three LNG production units at Algeria's Skikda refinery not affected by the explosion last Sunday will resume production within two to three weeks, according to Energy Minister Chakib Khelil.


The explosion is believed to have caused a loss of revenues of about USD 300mn. In addition to that, about USD 800mn will be needed for construction of new units to replace the destroyed ones.
