SOCAR, state oil firm of Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum on the principles of a future agreement with the Azerbaijan-Chinese company Noble Sky for the rehabilitation and development of the Garachukhur field.
The source said that Noble Sky was set up by the Azerbaijani company Middle East Petrol and China's Shengli Oilfield, which is part of the Chinese petrochemical company Sinopec. The source did not say what shares the companies would have in the future contract, or the volume of possible investment in the field.
