The chairman of the Russian Gas Union, Valeriy Yazev, announcing this news, added that "In the first phase, foreign firms could transport the liquefied gas because Russia has fallen behind Japan, Finland and the USA in building up a tanker fleet".
"In future, however, I hope Russian tankers will enter what is a dynamic market." He said that in the course of 10 to 15 years Russia could reach an annual processing level of up to 50m tonnes of liquefied gas.?
