Oil shipments from the Persian Gulf increased 22 percent last month to a quarter high as OPEC raised output to meet increasing demand.
About 117 ships were booked to load oil from the region, up from 96 in June.
International oil firm Royal Dutch/Shell Group, took 11 of the vessels, followed by Exxon Mobil Corp. and the Saudi Aramco with 10 ones of each company. For August, 90 tankers are hired with about 10 days of chartering left.
