The well repairing on the Statoil?s Snorre A platform in the North Sea, following a gas leak, is continuing according to plan.
Work has consisted of isolating the gas-bearing formation, and the first cement plug is in place. Further steps will now be taken to secure the well.
Statoil has an ongoing dialogue with its partners in the Snorre license and the Petroleum Safety Authority with regard to plans and progress.
It remains uncertain when production from Snorre A and the Vigdis field will resume.
