Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel has confirmed that it will spin off and list its gold assets.
Russian biggest gold and nickel producer plans to be ranked with its gold unit Polyus about the seventh most valuable gold producer in the world with an estimated market value of some $3 billion.
At current estimated values Polyus would be ranked behind Australia?s Newcrest and ahead of Peru?s Buenaventura.
