Kazakhstan To Build Pipeline Through Russia

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev said yesterday, that the country?s oil companies would pump large amounts of its crude through a $4 billion U.S.-backed pipeline.

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline is expected to go into full operation six months from now and become a major competitor to traditional export routes for Caspian oil that pass through Russia.
