UK oil giant BP reported that world's oil and gas reserves growth halted last year, bucking a trend that has historically seen discoveries more than match production.
The BP data, compiled from government figures, showed 1,188.6 billion barrels of oil reserves at the end of 2004, compared with 1,188.3 billion a year earlier.
