Shell Egypt announced two new discoveries in its Badr El-Din Concession in the Western Desert
Shell Egypt announced two new discoveries in its Badr El-Din Concession in the Western Desert, operated by Shell Egypt?s Joint Venture with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Bapetco.
Evaluation data from recent drilling in the BED 17-2 exploration well confirms the presence of hydrocarbons with reservoir properties in line with expectations. This discovery will be followed by an appraisal campaign in 2006.
The two discoveries will be matured to production in 2006. Production facilities, operated by Bapetco in the Western Desert, are already in place.
