Uzbekistan is planning to increase the volume of gas export to 12,6 bln meter cubes in 2006 in comparison with 11,5 bln in 2005.
Also the country had increased the export of gas to Russia to 9 bln. meter cubes in 2006 in comparison with 8,15 bln meter cubes in 2005.
?Two-three years ago the export of gas was 4-4,4 bln meter cubes and now we are going by the schedule to carry out those parameters?, state oil and gas company Uzbekneftegas' chief manager Shavkat Madjitov said.
He added that the reason of the export increase was ?decrease in local consumption and implementation of energy saving activities?.
?We will not increase gas mining, but if we do, we will begin inverse pumping process, increasing production is only from energy saving, only in 2005, decreasing in the waste in ?Uztransgaz? was 1 bln. meter cubes?.
