Oil major BP doesn't have a timeframe for restarting the eastern half of its Prudhoe Bay oil field in Alaska, which was shut last week due to corroded pipeline and oil leak.
BP's developing a plan on continuing to supply its Alaskan crude oil customers with oil, BP spokesman Ronnie Chappell said.
ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil, the other two large partners in Prudhoe Bay, declared force majeure on Alaskan crude shipments last week.
