Bolivia's President Evo Morales has signed a decree nationalising the country's oil and gas industry.
The measure had already been announced last May. Mr Morales spoke of a historical moment in the fight to regain Bolivia's natural resources.
At the end of October, the Bolivian government concluded new contracts with all foreign oil companies, in which they agreed to work closely together with the state-owned Bolivian oil company.
