Ukraine, Azerbaijan to Create Pipeline Consortium

Ukraine and Azerbaijan consider to set up an international consortium for the implementation of the project of laying out the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline with the participation of Russia and Kazakhstan, Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich said.

Yanukovich noted that with the increase of oil extraction in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Ukraine is ?ready jointly to work out matters of the construction of an oil pipeline, transportation of hydrocarbons and development of oil refining facilities in Ukraine?s territory in localities near the border of the European Union.?

The Azerbaijani premier said Azerbaijan regards the Odessa-Brody project as one of the routes of the transportation of Caspian oil to European markets.
