Renewed fighting in the oil-rich Abyei region of Sudan has left at least 70 people dead, U.N. officials in the region said.
The U.N. Integrated Regional Information Networks reported Monday that the weekend clashes involved the Sudan People's Liberation Movement and fighters from Abyei's Misseriya community.
