Production has been resumed on the Statfjord A platform, after four days of shutdown due to an oil leak Saturday 24 May. Production on the Snorre A and the Vigdis field, was resumed Sunday.
During the last few days the crew on Statfjord A has been busy preparing the platform for start-up.
”We are very pleased that the incident did not cause any injuries, and that we are on stream again,” says head of Statfjord production, Lars Petter Lundahl.
The incident will be investigated by both the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway and StatoilHydro.
