Bolivia To Increase Gas Production in 2009
The Bolivian Minister of Planning and Development announced that in 2009 the state will invest in new production plants of gas to obtain additional output
To achieve this target, investments will be disbursed, the first by private foreign companies that are already settled in Bolivia with an investment over $500 million.
On the other hand, the Bolivian Government made the decision to disburse $1,000.000.000 in 2009 to allow the national state company YPFB to achieve aims on the energy sector.
Minister Carlos Villegas reminded that last year YPFB invested in a processing plant in Rio Grande in Santa Cruz to obtain on the second semester of 2009 additional cubic meters of oil gas (GLP).
