In his interview to the German TV channel ARD the Russian PM stated that the gas price would inevitably fall by the summer of 2009

Gas prices are bound to fall this year because of a plunge in oil prices at the end of 2008, the PM elaborated.

The gas prices will follow with a time lag of 5 or 6 months. Putin stated that Russia had no influence on the prices, as they depended solely on the prices for oil and oil products.

If there is anyone to be upset with, it is oil traders selling papers instead of actual goods, the Russian Vesti channel cited the PM as saying.
