Pemex stated that the installation of this specialized technology would help with reservoir pressure, well stimulation and fracturing operations, avoid contact between fluids and coating, maintain flow and help regulate the productivity of its wells.
Pemex is hoping to improve production from its wells in the Gulf of Mexico, where 80 percent of the country's crude oil is produced.
