“ Iran has already sent five ministers to talk to me,” Lobao told lawmakers in Brasilia today.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sought to increase ties with Latin American countries in talks with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Brazil’ s Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Relations with Brazil have “ no limits,” Ahmadinejad told reporters in New York Sept. 24.

Lula has drawn criticism from Jewish and human rights groups for seeking closer relation with Iran when other world leaders criticize Ahmadinejad over his nuclear program, disputed elections, his human-rights record and comments against Israel.

Rio de Janeiro-based Petrobras plans to invest $15.9 billion in international operations from 2009 to 2013, or 9 percent of its $174.4 billion spending plan for the period.
