Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has proposed that a new route be opened for transporting oil between the Caspian and Black seas within the framework of the TRACECA [Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia] project.
"Within the framework of the European Union's TRACECA project, everyone can cooperate on laying a new oil pipeline between the Caspian and Black seas, building a terminal and ferry," he said during a joint news conference with Romanian President Traian Basescu following talks in Astana today.
