Ukrainian government will not provide financial help to Naftohaz's russian gas importer

The Ukrainian government will not give financial aid to ailing energy company Naftohaz, the exclusive importer of Russian gas, for payments for gas supplies as of April, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said.

"Already as of April Naftohaz will be paying for gas by itself," Reuters quoted Azarov saying in a statement. He said the government would cover just 10% of the $700 million that Naftohaz will have to pay for March deliveries from Russia.
