The joint venture Gissarneftegaz and UzGazOil have discovered a new gas field in Uzbekistan, Uzdaily.uz reports. Gissarneftegaz is continuing geological surveys in on licensed territory in the Bukhara-Khivinsk region. Test well number 3 at the Tavakkal area at a depth of 3,234 meters produced an industrial stream of gas with condensate at a rate of 400,000 cubic meters using a 14 millimeter nozzle.
Tests at well number 1 on the Khudzhum area at a depth of 3,830-3,850 meters produced an industrial stream of gas and condensate with a flow of 100,000 cubic meters through an 8 millimeter nozzle. Tests at the well are continuing.
