Kazakhstan plans to build another crude preparation unit in Atyrauskiy Region, the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) reported. The unit will be built near the village of Karabatan where Agip KKO is completing its Bolashak oil and gas preparation facility. NCOC is operating the North-Caspian project to develop the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian shelf. construction will begin after the first phase of Kashagan development is finished. The unit will have a planned processing capacity of 550,000 barrels per day.
