Royal Dutch Shell and ExxonMobil have begun to sell gas storage facilities in Germany which could bring in as much as $1 billion, sources close to the deal told Reuters. UBS AG, which is handling the deal, began sending offers to potential buyers, the sources said. One source added that responses from potential buyers are being accepted through July 30. The storage facilities belong to BEB Erdgas und Erdoel GmbH, a joint venture between Exxon and Shell.
