Chinese Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell Company will modernize the gas distribution system in |Uzbekistan in 2010-2011, RBK reports. The project comes with a price tag of $91 million, UzTransGaz spokesman Shadzhalil Shamukhsimov said. Shamukhsimov said technical due diligence is currently being performed and agreed between the interested parties. The project is to be financed by China's ExImBank with a credit for $73.6 million as well as UzTransGaz' own funds in the amount of $7.4 million.
