Ukraine Negotiating With Azerbaijan To Increase Oil Supplies

Kiev and Baku are in negotiations to increase supplies of Azerbaijani crude to Ukraine, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Klyuyev said during a news conference.
Almost all of the Azerbaijan crude supplied to UKraine arrives by tanker and is refined at the Kremenchuk refinery in Poltava Region. In 2009, the Azerbaijan state oil and gas company (SOCAR) delivered 560,000 tons of crude to UKraine.
"we are trying to reach an agreement to increase oil supplies", Klyuyev said after the Ukrainian-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission on economic co-operation.
He added that specific figures would be made known in two to three weeks.
