GAIL (India) Limited has been adjudged winner of Oil Industry Safety Awards for the year 2009-10.
GAIL's Cross Country Pipeline Hazira Vijaipur- Jagdisghpur (HVJ) bags "First" rank in Cross Country Gas / LPG Pipeline category, while GAIL's Gas Processing Plant at Lakwa, Assam adjudged "First" and GAIL's Vijaipur Gas Processing Plant has been adjudged as "Second" in the Gas Processing Plants category. On behalf of GAIL, Shri B C Tripathi, Chairman and Managing Director, Shri . R D Goyal Director, Projects, Mr. B P Singh, Executive Director (O&M) and Shri Narendra Kumar , Executive Director (O&M/ CR) along with other team members received the coveted awards from Shri S Jaipal Reddy, Hon'ble Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas in presence of Shri R P N Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas.
In the individual category a cash award of Rs. 10,000/- was conferred to Shri Amar Singh, Senior Manager (Mech), DVPL , GAIL Vijaipur for his individual contribution towards Safety as recognised by Oil Industry Safety Directorate.
