Speaking in a press conference, the Executer of South Azadegan oil field development plan Mahmoud Mar'ashi told reporters that crude oil production will be started in late August 2016 from 30'000 barrels and this capacity increases gradually to 60'000 barrels per day. He pointed to the 19 drilling rigs placed in South Azadegan oil field and stated since ousting the Chinese contractor from the whole project in 2014, more than 270'000 meters have been drilled.
