Oman's oil output fell by 3.8 % to 294.59 million barrels in the 1st 10 months of 2017, against 306.26 million barrels for the same period of last year, according to the Ministry of Oil and Gas on November 16, 2017.

Oman exported 245.19 million barrels during January-October period of 2017, against 268.68 million barrels for the same period of the previous year.

In October alone, Oman's oil output stood higher at 29.98 million barrels, against 29.27 million barrels over the previous month, said the ministry release.

China was the leading destination for the Sultanate's crude oil exports, which was followed by India, Malaysia and Japan.

As part of a deal with OPEC, Oman has been cutting its daily crude oil production by 45,000 barrels or roughly 4.5 % since January this year.

OPEC and non-OPEC oil exporters have decided to cut crude oil production by 1.8 million barrels per day since January 2017, which is up to March 2018.

The OPEC producers will meet on November 30 in Vienna to decide on oil output policy.
