Tashkent, October 12 - Neftegaz.RU. As part of the preparations for the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France, Bahrom Ashrafkhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz met in Paris with Arnaud Breuillac, CEO of Total.
The meeting discussed the prospects for the development of further cooperation in the oil & gas industry. The French side expressed interest in establishing mutually beneficial relations with Uzbekneftegaz, and pointed out the great potential of the Uzbek oil & gas industry.
Following the negotiations, the sides signed the Cooperation Agreement, providing for the study of the possibility of joint exploration in the investment blocks of Uzbekistan. The agreement provides for the creation of a joint working group, which, based on the results of the study, will provide concrete proposals for further development of cooperation.
This Agreement will give impetus to the development of cooperation between the companies of the 2 countries in the oil & gas industry. Earlier, in September 2018 the sides signed the Confidentiality Agreement so that to provide Total representatives with the information on promising investment blocks of Uzbekistan.
