Gold rose to highest level since December on Wednesday
Gold rose to highest level since December on Wednesday afternoon amid strong euro against the US dollar and strong energy prices.
Comex April gold gained $1.80 at $442.90, reaching $443.50, its strongest level since Dec. 29.
"Dollar weakness is one main proponent," said a trader.
"A weaker tone in the dollar brought another wave of buying to the gold and silver market," echoed Dave Meger, senior metals analyst with Alaron Trading.
