US Gold Surged To Fresh High

Gold futures surged to their highest levels of the year in New York Thursday, fueled by momentum-based and fund buying, traders and analysts said.

December gold on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange
settled up $5.60 at $459.30 an ounce. The contract peaked at $459.70, its
strongest level since early December.
