Kazakhstan produced above 52 mln tons of crude oil
Nur-Sultan, August 14 - Neftegaz.RU. Kazakhstan produced above 52 million tons of oil in January-July this year, Kazinform reports.
For the past 7 months the country produced 52.23 million tons of crude and condensate that is 101.2% against the plan, though it is 98.7% to the same period of 2018,» Head of the Kazakh Energy Ministry’s press service Nurlybek Zhenis said.
According to him, the decline in production was predictable due to repair works at 3 large oil fields. Oil production at Kashagan, Tengiz and Karachaganak settled at 31.6 million tons over the past 7 months.
Oil production in Kazakhstan will decrease in 2019, admitted 4 monthes ago Kazakh Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov. "Oil production will decline by 1.4 million tons YOY or 1.5 %: 90.4 million tons in 2018 and 89 million tons in 2019. This causes lower growth paces in the mining industry," Dalenov said.
